For over 100 years since its founding in 1914, Daiyo has been handcrafting Japanese candles in Imazu Town, Shiga Prefecture, through four generations. In 1989, it was officially designated as a traditional craft of Shiga Prefecture. They are committed to using 100% pure vegetable-based ingredients, passing on traditional manufacturing methods to the present day, and cherish the connection between fire and people through Japanese candles.
