North Colors has crafted this rice cracker using generously sourced domestic roasted dried sardine (iriko) and dried sardine powder, both made from iwashi caught west of Shizuoka Prefecture, combined with Hokkaido potato starch as the base. The seasoning comes from Muroto salt, a mineral-rich salt produced by cooking down deep ocean water sourced off the coast of Kochi Prefecture. This deep ocean water is said to have originated in the Arctic region and taken two thousand years to well up off the coast of Muroto, and is rich in inorganic nutrients essential to life due to its extended journey through the deep sea, far from ocean pollution.
