Cooking Example: Sansai Takikomi Rice (Mountain Vegetable Rice)
Ingredients (for 2 cups of rice):
- 1 pack Sansai Mountain Vegetable Mix (90g)
- 2 cups Japanese rice (180 ml cup × 2)
- 1 piece aburaage (fried tofu)
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon mirin
- 1 teaspoon dashi powder
Instructions:
- Rinse the rice and place it in a rice cooker. Add water up to the 2-cup mark.
- Rinse the sansai mix with water and drain well.
- Cut the aburaage in half, then slice into 5 mm strips.
- Add the sansai mix, aburaage, soy sauce, mirin, and dashi powder to the rice. Mix gently.
- Cook the rice using the standard rice-cooking setting.
- Once cooked, gently mix the rice and serve.
