North Colors has crafted this Genmai Okoshi using 100% domestically sourced ingredients. Okoshi is said to be one of the oldest confections in Japan, and remains a beloved baked snack enjoyed across the country today. Two varieties are included in the pack: a brown-colored piece seasoned with Okinawa black sugar (kokuto), and a white-colored piece made with含蜜糖 (mistu-iri-to) — a mineral-rich unrefined sugar made without separating the molasses from the crystals. The beet sugar used is sourced from Hokkaido-grown sugar beets.
